NQH has assembled an international team of 25 architects, designers, and planners. We work with engineers, programmers, artists, landscape designers, interior designers, and energy and structural consultants from Vietnam, Asia and the United States; the firm is committed to nurturing and expanding these alliances to maintain the highest standards of design and sustainability.

Since its establishment at the turn of the 21st century, NQH has garnered international recognition for its role as a regional pioneer of design and sustainability.

Based in Vietnam but connected with companies and firms around the world, NQH is uniquely positioned as a leader in sustainable development.

We believe that the coexistence of a flourishing natural environment and an economically robust, smoothly functioning building or neighborhood should never involve a compromise. A development site is not merely a location for construction. Design should be interwoven with the land rather than imposed on it.

Recognizing our profound responsibility in shaping the built environment, NQH encourages sophisticated green design for all of our projects in Vietnam and elsewhere. For each project, we carefully analyze the environmental opportunities and constraints specific to the site at hand. Our thorough, site-specific understanding of natural systems then guides the design process from concept to construction.

Chief Representative of Kenzo Tange in Vietnam

A Vietnamese-American, Hien was born in Saigon and moved to the United States when he was 15.  He completed his architectural studies in SCI-Arc and practiced in America for several years before moving to Tokyo and working with the late Kenzo Tange, a pioneer of 20th-century architecture.   Mr. Hien continues to act as the Chief Liaison Officer for Kenzo Tange Associates in Vietnam.

After his work in Japan, Mr. Hien returned to Vietnam to found one of the country’s first architecture firms.  Since 2001, NQH Architects has grown to incorporate a broad scope of design and planning including urban design, urban planning, sustainable design and architecture services. Hien’s international expertise, and his sensitivity to a variety of artistic and architectural styles, have guided NQH’s maturity in Vietnam and, increasingly, throughout the world.
