Description
The Architecture/ID, being under the Design Manager’s responsibility, is in charge of developing all architecture and/or interior design and construction aspects of the project in their field. During the design phase, the Architect will be responsible for sketching, planning, drafting, design review, preparing Architecture Reports, areas/use charts, etc., for design correctness and completion.
In coordination with the Design Manager, the Architect, for and during the design and construction phases, will participate in setting up and following up a quality control process with the team and, later, with contractors, with proper workflow and work inspection requests to ensure that works are properly checked on time, particularly during each critical phase.
Design Manager assists the Design Manager during the design, tender, and construction phases, particularly when meeting with third parties.
What You Will Do
- Manage design output (follow-up of drawings, correctness of the design, completeness, details, etc., and, in general, to control and follow up all the design drawings and shop drawings…).
- Attend internal coordination meetings and, if requested, with the Client, Consultants and Contractors regarding the architectural design and/or interior and finishes, when required.
- Check design aspects that could potentially affect the quality, functionality, cost, or completion time of the project.
- Ensure consistency of architectural design with structural and M&E design
- Participate, together with the Design Manager, in preparation of detailed schedule (architecture and Interior design part)
- Check consistency and completeness of tender package for architectural and (if proceeding) interior design works contractor to be collected by the client.
- Attend coordination meetings with other consultants, such as the structural and M&E engineer.
- Provide data (project progress, change and quality management, statistics, main issues encountered and solved) related to architecture and interior design for the project management reports.
- Review the contractor’s shop drawings and approve them in terms of design intention and keep them up to date.
- During the construction stage, carry out site visits for author supervision.
- Attend site coordination meetings during the construction stage if required by the Design Manager.
- Carry out spot quality and safety checks on architecture and finishing works and hold record
- Control and review contractor’s own quality checks
- Manage architecture and finishes work contractor’s change requests, verifying that changes are in line with the Client’s interest and design intention (and maintain a record
- Participate in partial hand-over to architecture and finishing trades
- Ensure that snagging and remedial works are carried out by the finishing contractor
- Support the Client to submit and clarify the design in front of Authorities and review as-built documentation from the Contractor.
- Provide support for the preparation of the contractor’s final account statement if requested and included in the scope of works from the client.
- Review design documents for building code compliance
- Contribute to office culture, team collaboration, and studio initiatives
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- 1-3 Years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year focused on interior and/or retail design projects
- Proficiency in Revit is required
- Fully bilingual in English and Vietnamese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
